Personal Trainer Overview
I incorporate a lot of functional movements using your own body weight, balance, dumbbells, ketttlebells, TRX and resistance bands in my training.
Training Philosophy
Gotta make it a lifestyle. Working out and moderatly healthy eating should be part of life. Working out should become fun. I try to keep things interesting by trying different things and finding something the client enjoys ie: boxing, kickboxing, Kettlebells, crossfit, TRX. My style is nurturing but intense. I focus on getting my clients results, which keeps them motivated.
Education
B.S. Kinesiology Exercise Science- CSULA
Trained in kickboxing for 2 yrs
Trained in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for 6 yrs
Bio
Before becoming a trainer, I trained a lot in a martial art called Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ). I use to teach the kids BJJ class at the Machado BJJ academy in Torrance. After 6 years of training i suffered a knee injury which required surgery to continue the intense BJJ training. I decided to go back to college full time and study Kinesiology. It was so rewarding teaching and training the kids i decided to become a personal trainer so that i can help others thru fitness. After graduating I went to work for Bally Total Fitness, where I worked as a trainer and fitness director for 7 years. With all the education and experience, Jan of 2011 I decided to go on my own. I currently train out of Glendale, CA and neighboring cities and would like to work with you.
