About
Emotional eating is a condition that is widely misunderstood. All too often, it is assumed that emotional eaters have no willpower over food or lack the motivation for change. Feelings of guilt, shame, and even loneliness can create a perpetual cycle of dieting and deprivation followed by uncontrolled eating. If this feels familiar to you, I want you to know that you are not alone. I can help you understand this cycle to develop a better relationship with food. I provide education to clear up conflicting nutrition facts, challenge diet myths, and work with you to discover a pattern of eating that supports your health.
My specialties are emotional eating, disordered eating, and binge eating. Additionally, I can provide education and support to individuals who have undergone bariatric procedures. I understand the challenges of talking about food and weight, and I am here to listen and provide support in a safe, compassionate environment.
Eating is about more than food, and balanced nutrition is more than a list of what you should and should not eat. As we work together you will begin to understand your relationship with food and discover eating strategies that are unique to you, your lifestyle, and your goals.
