Barbie (Barb) founded Integrated Autism Therapies (IAT) with her husband in 2017 after nearly 20 years in the autism world and becoming frustrated with the therapy services and options for her medically complexed son that regressed into level 3 autism at the age of 18 months. She discovered that many of the therapies prescribed for autism contradicted each other and even tried to discredit the other service providers. In addition, none of the therapies took a wholistic approach and considered how sleep, movement, nutrition, stress, environment and biomedical factors impacted a child’s health, behavior, and progress.Having worked with biomedical doctors and having a background in health and fitness, Barb noticed her son made the most progress when his health and nutritional needs were addressed first. With the encouragement of the biomedical practitioners that worked with her son, Barb took additional courses in behavior modification and enrolled in the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. She received her FMCHC credentials in 2016. She has completed 3 additional functional nutrition programs since completing the program in December 2016. Barb's mission for IAT was to unite evidence-based sciences that address autism and other related conditions. Her ultimate  goal was to create a positive and proactive therapy environment for families by targeting behavioral and health service providers that could see client as a whole, and work together to find the best practices for each of our clients' program plans.At Integrated Autism Therapies, we offer ABA therapy, Speech/Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Functional Health and Nutrition Coaching in a variety of settings. We can serve our clients at our clinic, in your home, and via telehealth (telehealth requires parent involvement). IAT takes a wide variety of insurance plans as well as private pay.
