What has been a pivoting point in your life? Why and how did it change your life? Welcome - I'm Karen, and I've had many memorable pivoting moments in my life - some moving towards the life I want and others bringing me down. I want to help you make a committed decision and create a pivoting point in your life towards one of vitality, unlimited energy, joy, love, and calmness along with learning how to grow through and overcome challenges.One recent pivoting point in my life is when I fell hiking in the Black Hills of South Dakota Sept 2, 2022 and tore off all three hamstring muscles that retracted 7 cm down my right leg. In that moment I knew my trekking trip to Nepal that November was going to be delayed. I had major surgery Sept. 12 with five anchors screwed in my hip bone tying the hamsting muscles back to my hip to start the healing process. I quickly healed due to being strong, eating an anti-inflammatory food plan, sleeping when my body told me too (one night was 14 hours), and keeping stress at a minimum during this time. Both my surgeon and physical therapist were astonished at how fast I was back to walking and lifting weights at the gym. I immediately saw this accident as a blessing to slow down and really think of what is now important to me, including my current career, which I was misaligned with my what my heart's calling is. I left my job after over 23 years at the same company as it was not fulfilling my own life purpose of coaching and serving others to make a pivot and take control of their health and own life.One year later I hiked Crow Peak where I fell and then I took a solo trip to Nepal and trekked the Annapurna Circuit through the Himalayan Mountains with a group of strangers that later became lifelong friends for 15 days reaching an altitude of 17,900 feet at the Thorong La Pass for my 50th birthday.I know I can help you pivot your health, accomplish your lifestyle goals, and hold you accountable once you make a committed decision to yourself and your health. You are worthy and enough as you are.
