About

Hi. It's good to meet you. I'm Stacy--a functional medicine and national board-certified health coach, yoga instructor and studio owner, corporate wellness specialist, and longtime business leader.I came into the wellness space as a result of the benefits I've seen in my personal life from an integrated mind-body-spirit approach to health.  I've witnessed firsthand the importance of self-care, excellent nutrition, movement, functional modalities such as acupuncture and energy work, and care and nurturing of the emotional self, and now my wish is to support others in optimizing their wellbeing.I didn't start out as a wellness practitioner.  On the contrary, I've come into this space after a 23-year career in corporate operations leadership, marketing, and strategic consulting.  This experience has helped me to see deeply and clearly the opportunities to augment mind-body health in the workplace, from the point of view of the colleague as well as the employer.  A few years ago, upon deciding I wanted to focus on wellness as a career, I enrolled in the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy's one-year certification course, combining coaching skills with the hard science and evidence-based elements of functional medicine as provided by the Institute of Functional Medicine. After receiving my my coach certification, I followed my gut and opened a yoga and wellbeing studio in my community--Sunny Street Yoga. Here we combine the powerful practices of asana, pranayama and meditation with educational content around integrated health and a variety of coaching programs in various formats. I'm now working to take these practices and programs into the workplace, where I believe (and have seen) that they are sorely needed. My focus area as a coach is supporting women in midlife, whether that means working with the hormone changes of perimenopause, the life changes of a newly empty nest, professional changes, or other factors that play into this transformational time of life. My programs are customized to each client, and may call upon my training in yoga, mindfulness, and meditation as well as corporate wellness in addition to health coaching.Though I love coaching and teaching yoga, my favorite roles are those of wife and mom. You may see my son on the occasional Instagram post (he’s kind of a ham).  He is simply incredible, and a daily inspiration to me. My husband, a 24-year Army veteran, retired businessman, and stay-at-home dad, has inspired me greatly and helped me to broaden my understanding as a coach.  I love to cook (I'm currently experimenting with vegan cooking and the art of fermentation), I love to travel (when it's possible), I love to write, and I absolutely love to laugh.I'd love to have the opportunity to partner with you as well, and explore the Art of Taking Care.
