Record each payment once, and morning issues the receipt
For practices registered in Israel. Connect your own morning account, and every payment you record in Riverd gets its tax invoice-receipt or receipt from morning about 15 minutes later. Payments your clients make in morning show up on the right session, so you stop entering the same payment in two places.
No credit card required
- Every payment you record gets its document from your own morning account: a tax invoice-receipt for an osek murshe, a receipt for an osek patur.
- Documents are issued about 15 minutes after you record the payment, or straight away with Issue now.
- Send a payment request from the session, and the payment lands back on the session once your client pays on morning's page.
- Payments your clients make in morning are matched to the right session, with 7 days to undo a wrong match.
- Included on every Riverd plan, including Brook, the free plan. Card fees are charged by morning. Riverd takes no fee.
Record the payment, and the receipt comes from morning
Say you're an osek patur reflexologist in Haifa and a client pays ₪300 by Bit at the end of a session. You record the payment in Riverd the way you do now, and about 15 minutes later morning issues a receipt for ₪300 from your account. An osek murshe, a company, or a partnership gets a tax invoice-receipt instead, with the VAT shown inside the amount you recorded. Riverd reads your business type from morning when you connect, so there is nothing to set up. The 15 minutes give you time to fix a typo or void a payment entered by mistake, because a receipt can't be deleted once it's issued. If you're sure the payment is right, select Issue now on the payment row. Riverd never asks morning for receipts for payments you recorded before you connected, since you may have issued those yourself.
Payments made in morning land on the right session
You can keep taking payments in morning: a payment link, a card or Bit in the morning app, or a receipt you issue there by hand. Riverd checks morning every hour, and again when you open a session or Finance. When the client matches by email, by phone, or by a pairing you confirmed before, and only one unpaid session fits, Riverd records the payment on that session and links morning's receipt, so no second document is issued. A matching name alone never links a payment. When Riverd isn't sure, Finance lists the payment with the sessions it could be for, and you pick one or mark it Not a Riverd session. If a payment lands on the wrong session, select Undo on the payment row within 7 days.
Ask for payment from the session, by email or WhatsApp
On a session with money owed, select Send payment request via morning, check the amount, and choose Email, WhatsApp, or Text message. With Digital payments turned on in your morning account, Riverd emails your client a link to pay by card on morning's payment page, and WhatsApp or a text message opens on your phone with the same link filled in for you to send. When your client pays, morning issues the receipt and the payment shows up on the session by itself. While the request is open, your client also sees a Pay button next to the session in their Riverd portal. Card fees are charged by morning. Riverd takes no fee. Each request counts as one of your morning plan's documents for the month.
Issued a receipt yourself? Riverd won't ask for a second one
If you issue a receipt yourself, in morning or on paper, select I already issued one on the Record payment card, or I already issued a receipt on the payment row afterwards, and add the document number. Riverd finds that document in morning, checks it is for the same client and amount, and links it to the session. Without a number, the payment waits on Finance's list of payments without a receipt until you add one. And when you save a payment while morning already holds a receipt from the same client that looks like the same money, Riverd asks whether to link that receipt instead of asking morning for a new one.
Refunds, voids, and a copy of every document
Void a payment before its receipt is issued and no document is issued at all. Void it later, or record a refund, and morning issues the matching credit against the original document. A payment that came from morning is changed or refunded in morning, and Riverd shows the refund or cancellation on the session. Riverd keeps its own copy of every document it requests or links: you open it from the session, your client opens it from their Riverd portal, and it stays on the session if you disconnect morning.
What you need to connect
You need a business registered in Israel: when Riverd asks "Where is your business registered?", choose Israel. You also need morning's Best plan or higher, because Riverd connects with an API key and morning's Basic plan has none (morning's plans). In morning, go to Developer tools, API keys, Add key, and copy the key's ID and secret (morning's guide to creating a key). In Riverd, open Settings, Payments, select Connect with your key under Payments and invoices with morning, and paste both. Riverd never asks for your morning password, and you can delete the key in morning at any time. Once morning is connected, your Riverd account works in shekels. morning's guide to tax invoices explains which document is issued when. This page describes how Riverd works with morning. It isn't tax or legal advice, so ask your accountant what your business must issue.
