Most issues stem from one of three underlying factors: (1) Misinformation: quackery-marketing passed along by well-intentioned friends and family. (2) Emotion: sometimes is it not about the food - at all. (3) Deprivation Backlash: human nature runs counter to the concept -- you were not born to diet.

I am a Registered Dietitian, Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and co-author of the book "Un-Dieting."
