About

I specialize in the science of how the mind and body function best.  For nearly twenty years my sole focus has been helping others to improve how they feel physically, mentally and emotionally.  Drawing from Naturopathy, Positive Psychology, Functional Medicine and the field of Neuroscience, there are scientifically proven ways to support and improve the function of both the mind and the body.I established my private practice, The Wellness Partnership, in 2003, with the purpose of helping others become more aware about how the daily choices we make can be triggers for dysfunction in the body. I believe that the body knows how to be healthy when given everything it needs.   However, I learned early on that, changing the way we do things can be very challenging.  Personally, I found myself wondering why, when I know what I know, do I make some of the choices I do, over and over again?   And I realized that, if I was feeling this way then, it was highly likely that everyone I was working with felt the same way.  For all of us, it's so easy slip back into bad habits and more challenging to build good habits.I set out to try and get a better understanding about this and quickly learned that you can't tell anyone what to do and expect lasting change.   There's far more to it than that.  Successful change only occurs when it connects to someone's passion, their purpose and their core values.  There has to be a reason for change and that reason has to come from within each of us.Thus my purpose has evolved over the years.  It’s no longer just about helping others feel better.  It’s also about empowering people to do things differently.  I now help my clients work through stuck emotions, limiting beliefs and change behaviors that no longer serve them.  I use a number of different psychosensory therapies such as Havening Techniques®. HeartMath, NLP and  EFT.  I've found that progress in this area offers hope which, in turn, motivates both personal growth and successful, long lasting, change which leads to better choices and improved wellbeing.
