About

Why I decided to become a health and wellness coach is heavily influenced by who I am and my story. My three greatest passions are a love of learning, teaching, and helping people. Suffering a serious knee injury in my early thirties was a life-altering experience for me. Partly through this experience, I learned to not take my health for granted, and found that my mental, emotional and spiritual health are intricately balanced with my physical well-being. My healing encompasses all my efforts. Healing is the walks I take with a friend; making good decisions with what I eat; laughing and crying deeply; being curious when I experience strong emotions; getting restful sleep; and staying connected to people who help me move forward in my healing journey.I chose to become certified as a Functional Medicine Health Coach because it fits perfectly together with how I believe about all things affecting health. Functional medicine sees the person as a whole, taking into account the intersection of lifestyle, genetics, and environmental influence in an individual's life. And the coach approach sees the person as the expert, not the other way around. A coach’s role is that of a trusted guide. The topics for coaching to support your lifestyle change goals are unlimited. Smoothies to sleep, you name it! I can partner with you, to work toward and achieve your personal health and wellness goals.
