I am proud to be a NBC-HWC.   This designation, along with my personal health journey, makes me uniquely qualified to be a health coach. I was 25 when I lost my mother and best friend to cancer.  She was only 43. To this day, it was the most traumatic event I’ve ever experienced.  The stress caused my body to react in ways that were unfamiliar to me.  My symptoms were all over the place and after visiting over a dozen specialists, I realized the traditional treatment paradigm wasn’t a match for what I was going through.  Unfortunately, I didn’t know where to start, but I knew I had to do something.   Armed with my love for learning and my inquisitive nature, I set out to take control of my health.I spent the next decade learning all I could and trying new modalities.  Over time I realized the importance of my lifestyle and developed a journaling technique to help me understand how everything I did or didn’t do impacted my health.    My health improved, but there were more lessons to be learned.  I experienced firsthand the ups and downs of navigating lifestyle changes and, to my dismay, that change doesn’t happen overnight.  I truly believe the support of a health coach would’ve made all the difference.I’d like to be that support others in their health journey, and more importantly, help them understand how lifestyle changes can be their superpower.
