About

I start with my clients by helping them to discover why they want to make lifestyle changes. By helping to guide my clients unveil their health goals, I'm able to assist them to become more self-aware of their nutritional habits, sleep routines, exercise (or lack thereof) and stress management skills.  I will support you on your health journey to discover what your unique wellness equation is to become optimized. At sixteen years old, I began to develop a deep connection and interest in healthy and nutritious eating. Back then, I was eating the typical Standard American Diet (SAD)-meals loaded with simple carbohydrates, processed foods, fast food and sweets. I didn’t gain weight, so what’s the big deal? I was a young athlete, riding horses, training daily and I noticed that my energy levels were becoming low. Without connecting the dots back then, I started to eat differently. I focused on organic dairy products, organic eggs and organic fruits and vegetables whenever I could find them. I added in organic ancient grains (quinoa, teff, sorghum), plant-based protein sources (tofu, legumes, beans), and minimized those bread-like carbohydrates. My wellness journey started to evolve but I still didn’t feel optimized. I experimented with different dietary theories for years (vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto, dairy-free, sugar-free, macrobiotics, etc.), had five kids in eight years and raised them in a healthy home. In 2000, after giving birth to my 4th child, I had half of my thyroid removed.  I have spent the last 21 years chasing lab result numbers to be optimized, hormonal ups and downs to stabilize, sleep disruptions to fade away and increasing my energy and libido as naturally as possible. I now live happily and healthily on a high-animal-based protein, high-fat, extremely low-carb lifestyle, burning fat for fuel, not glucose. I love weight training three to four days per week, supporting my nutritional intake with building lean muscle mass. I am drawn to the flow of yoga, fresh air walks with my two rescue dogs and resistance training with props in between my grueling gym sessions. All in the name of aging gracefully.
