Cathy Zarkou

I have a passion for lifestyle wellness, especially in the area of nutrition.  I enjoy being able to share, educate, and support others on their journey to better health.  My own journey started back in 2000, when I had some severe health challenges.  Over many years of trying multiple avenues, not being able to get answers to improve my health, and not progressing in positive ways, I started on my own, to research into more holistic approaches to health, especially in the area of nutrition.  I had many practitioners help me on my path to a better health outcome, and because of the many who help me, I had the same desire to help others on their path to wellness.I enrolled in the Nutritional Therapy Institute program, and was able to get my Nutritional Therapy Degree in 2011.  I taught classes in the community, worked at a center as a nutritionist helping children and their parents with nutrition plans for their brain and overall health, and took on clients to help support them in their desires for better health. I started following the Institute for Functional Medicine and their approach to health and wellness, and learned from different educational opportunities.  I saw a great opportunity to enroll in their Health Coaching Program feeling that this experience would enhance my efforts in my nutritional background, as well as lifestyle choices.  I graduated from Functional Medicine Coaching Academy in September 2022 and found the coach approach to be very valuable in helping individuals in their process of change.  I am now enjoying the opportunity of helping others on their path to lifestyle wellness both in in-person and through zoom.
