Michael Joseph Balcer

I graduated from The University of South Carolina with an Exercise Science degree and have worked as a personal trainer for 26 years. I attended The Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in Charleston. I have been a South Carolina (#2266) licensed massage therapist for 25 years and performed over 50,000 sessions during that time. I am trained in various modalities but mainly focus on Deep Tissue and Neuromuscular/Trigger Point Massage Therapy with incorporated stretching and muscular reeducation. I worked extensively with a chiropractor for 20 years, where I was the Program Director of the Massage Therapy Program. During this time, I massaged clients from all walks of life and have enjoyed every bit of it! I have also worked with athletes from the NFL, Major League Baseball, 2 medal-winning Olympic athletes, South Carolina Stingrays Hockey Team, and various college/high schools. In January of 2020, I started working for myself and started Re-Formed Therapeutic Massage. My mission is to listen to my clients' needs, design treatment plans, and help them to "Re-form" their bodies into healthier physical bodies! I am married to my beautiful wife Meg. We have two wonderful daughters and two cute dogs.
