About
As an educator for more than 20 years, I am passionate about creating a sense of belonging for her students, for empowering people and helping them grow their confidence and find balance and well-being. Keenly aware of how our identities and self-confidence are so entwined with our bodies, I work to promote a welcoming and peaceful space where clients can unwind and feel heard so they may relax. When I was a teenager, I survived a tragic car accident and I have seen firsthand the results that massage can bring for people who suffer with physical and emotional trauma. While massage therapy was crucial to my healing journey it also became an essential part of my wellness plan, incorporating it into my physical therapy for injury, muscle recovery as a college athlete and coach, and becoming my go-to for restoring my spirit, and returning “home” to my body. As a result of these experiences, I became fascinated with and began practicing various healing modalities such as Reiki, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga which ultimately led to my career change as a massage therapist.I graduated from the Lancaster School of Massage, gaining a foundation in Swedish Massage, NMT, MFR, and CT. Mindful of how we embody our moods and feelings, life stressors and tension, I listen to my clients and integrate various massage forms to meet them where they are. When I am not seeing clients at Bright Mountain Bodywork or in my community of Mount Gretna, PA, I can be found supervising the student clinic and assisting with marketing and communication for Lancaster School of Massage. I enjoy spending time with family, walking my dog, gardening, and supporting the arts, and running my business, Gates & Paths: Gatherings for joyful well-being.
