About
Christopher Scott, LMBTLicensed Massage & Bodywork TherapistMassage, for me, is both science and art.I approach the body with deep respect — not just as a structure of muscles and joints, but as a living system shaped by movement, stress, posture, emotion, and daily habits. Every session I perform is grounded in anatomy and functional understanding of the muscular system, but delivered with presence and intention. As a lifelong athlete with a background in track and field, I have experienced firsthand how powerful preventative care can be. Through disciplined training, recovery work, and body awareness, I have maintained durability with minimal injury — something I do not take lightly. That experience informs my philosophy: the body responds to how we treat it. Preparation is just as important as performance. My work blends structure with flow. I am heavily inspired by the rhythmic continuity and fluid transitions of Lomi Lomi, though my foundation remains rooted in therapeutic massage and evidence-based bodywork. I am also influenced by martial arts principles — particularly the idea of controlled energy, breath, and intention. In many ways, massage allows me to channel both discipline and creativity, delivering a professional service with grace, focus, and care.I believe in giving the body adequate time and respect. My preferred session length is 75 minutes — my “sweet spot” — allowing me to assess patterns, address tension thoroughly, and work with the nervous system rather than rushing through it.My techniques may include deep tissue work, focused therapeutic pressure, flowing integrative strokes, hot stone applications, and intentional transitions that support both muscular release and overall relaxation. I tailor each session based on the client’s needs, goals, and comfort level.Beyond massage, I continue to stay connected to movement and performance. I substitute teach spin classes at Crunch Fitness and maintain my own training routine. I believe the body is meant to move — and when we care for it properly, it rewards us with strength and resilience.Meditation is also central to my philosophy. I believe in sitting with oneself, looking inward, and respecting the connection between mind and body. The body is not separate from who we are — it carries our history, our stress, and our strength. For me, the body is a temple — not as a slogan, but as a daily practice of care and awareness.Above all, I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable, respected, and confident in the work being performed. Professionalism, communication, and trust are foundational in every session.Massage is not just about relief. It is about alignment — physically and internally.
