Corey Rowland

A lifelong creative, Corey Rowland (NC LMBT #23009) studied studio art and received a Masters in Art Education at Florida State University. He went on to teach middle and high school art in public schools for 7 years. One of the aspects of this work that Corey always loved was the relationship building and the growth he would see in his students. Like many massage therapists, Corey was impacted by receiving massage himself. He has always valued health and wellness, so massage felt like a natural direction to take. His experiences with yoga, meditation, and various physical activities such as weightlifting, cycling, rock climbing, and dancing all reinforced his commitment to the development of the mind, body, and spirit. He received his foundational massage training at the Western North Carolina School of Massage in Asheville, NC. This 700-hour program includes a 100-hour certification in Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT). Corey sees every session, first and foremost, as a chance to offer a supportive and grounding experience for his clients. There are a variety of reasons someone may seek massage therapy, and he is interested in supporting the unique goals of each client. In addition to the work with the body, he enjoys educating clients about self-care strategies that promote general well-being and longevity.
