Candice Currie

Candice Currie is the friendly and compassionate face behind Optimize You. She is a 2009 graduate of Michigan State University. Candice graduated with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and also a Certified Exercise Physiologist. Her knowledge, experience, and love for learning about anything anatomy (the body), physiology (how it works), and health related has led her here. At Optimize You, Candice is creating a space for all to come.

She helps her clients feel supported as they journey toward a healthy lifestyle. Candice is not a typical trainer. You won’t find her yelling like a drill sergeant or making you count calories. However, you will find the tools she uses to be simple and effective for long-lasting changes. In the massage room, she uses her knowledge of the body and how it works to alleviate pain and tension. She does this by addressing the problems. Things like underlying muscular imbalances and postural patterns. Candice enjoys the instant gratification of relieving her clients’ pain and also seeing the long -term results of seeing people live their lives more fully.

When she isn’t working with clients, Candice can be found outside. She is usually found working in the garden, playing soccer with her two young sons, reading books, or walking with her rescue pup Peach.
