I have been a Massage Therapist since 1993 when I graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute.  I practice mainly Swedish and Deep Tissue massage. In 2000 I discovered Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). I was fascinated by the technique and its many applications from pre/post surgical work, fibromyalgia and chronic pain relief, to the treatment of all types of lymphedema.  In 2001 I completed my training as a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist in the Vodder method with world renowned Hildegard Wittlinger at her “Dr. Vodder Schule und Therapie Zentrum” in Walchsee Austria.In recent years I have been focusing on serving the senior population.  It is very rewarding for me and is of such wonderful benefit to them.  I love to see how this safe healthy touch transforms them and leaves even the most fraile client relaxed and in less discomfort.  Caring gentle therapeutic touch is such a valuable element of life which is so often absent in this population who have often lost a beloved spouse and live alone. To see their eyes light up when I arrive is a huge gift! MLD is a wonderful tool for this population and also of great benefit to those being treated for Cancer.  The gentle relaxing nature of this massage can leave even the most fragile client feeling relaxed, human and whole. I look forward to being able to share the many healing benefits of massage with you.
