About
Specialized Massage Therapy for Senior Living and Memory Care Communities: Welcome to Joy Enrichment Services I have been a certified massage therapist since 1989. I partner with senior living and care communities to provide gentle, therapeutic massage that promotes comfort, relaxation, and connection for older adults, including those living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory-related conditions.I believe that compassionate touch can make a meaningful difference in a person's quality of life. My massage sessions are thoughtfully designed to reduce stress and anxiety, ease pain and stiffness, improve circulation and sleep, and create a sense of calm, safety, and well-being.My career began in San Francisco, providing massage services to hotel guests and private clients throughout the Bay Area. In 1991, I opened my Walnut Creek practice, and later joined the faculty of the National Holistic Institute, where I taught anatomy, massage techniques, and professionalism to future therapists. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with clients of all ages and backgrounds.Today, my focus is serving seniors—a path that feels especially meaningful to me—having personally cared for a parent with Alzheimer's disease. This experience has deepened my commitment to providing compassionate, respectful care that honors each individual's dignity and comfort.Every session is tailored to the person's needs, mobility, and preferences. Massage can be provided clothed or unclothed and is always adapted to support existing care plans and facility routines.I believe everyone deserves moments of comfort, connection, and kindness. Through the healing power of touch, I strive to bring a little more peace, joy, and well-being to the lives of the seniors I serve.
