Anne Caterino

Anne is a Licensed Social Worker who examines health issues from a social perspective, viewing psychosocial elements as critical factors in promoting mind-body-spiritual holistic health, resilience, and well-being. Anne earned a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health at Boston University, and is a Reiki II mind-body practitioner. Because emotional and social health is associated with reduced risk of disease, Anne uses Positive Psychology and Mindfulness to assist clients who may be engaging in negative health behaviors, or would like to improve their habits. Research has proven that connection, relationships and love impact our health. As a social worker and wellness coach, Anne helps address the psychological and emotional factors that impact your well-being and health. As a mental health professional, Anne has unique knowledge in how loneliness, Trauma, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) affect health and behavior throughout the lifespan. Early life stress has a major effect on the HPA axis, which can have a lifetime effect on stress, the function of the HPA axis, and the way that people respond and react. She also understands societal influences that impact the way we nourish ourselves - a wide-ranging spectrum spanning from compassion and self-love, all the way to disordered or compulsive eating, body image issues, and restriction. As a public health social worker, Anne views the Covid19 pandemic and resulting isolation, uncertainty, collective trauma and mental health challenges through a unique lens. Anne has experience in group counseling and working in a variety of healthcare settings. Residing in the Philadelphia suburbs, Anne will meet coaching clients locally and has provided telehealth coaching services within the U.S. as well as Canada.
