My StoryMy family and I were faced with incredible challenges with many health issues because of tick borne illnesses. For the last twenty years I set about to educate myself about how to heal, establish our well being and regain our health and wellness.It has taken a team of health care providers from all types of the medical modalities for us to be able to enjoy our health and wellness.My daughter for the past twenty years battled many forms of tick- borne illness. She lost her ability to eat solid food at times (gastroparesis), lost her sight for about 2 years, could not walk unassisted for several years, was sensitive to light and sound, severe vertigo and balance issues, cognitive and heart issues, the list could go on. But she is blessed, and works hard to live a normal life. She works and supports herself. A big accomplishment for anyone with her past health issues.How did she recover? It took a team of health care providers and hard work. She works at everyday still. Together we have learned that her GUT HEALTH is the key to her well being. Acupuncture was key in her recovery, Counseling was imperative, medicinal herbs, homeopathy, functional medicine laboratory assessments, Chiropractic, Lyme Literate Medical Doctors (LLMD) (western medicine), all of these modalities were fully utilized when and as needed for her recovery.During those 20 years I walked beside her and was her advocate. My husband, son and I also have been in treatment for tickborne illnesses.My son's son has sensory processing disorders and we have chosen natural interventions for him with diet changes, integrative therapies, and we are having huge successes.
