About
I was trained at the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, the only program designed and delivered in collaboration with The Institute for Functional Medicine and is led by world-renowned health practitioners in the functional medicine field. My training involved extensive work in positive psychology, mind-body medicine, motivational interviewing and the principles of behavior change. I believe that anyone, through discovery, choice and action, can build a fulfilling life that includes joy and purpose. I utilize evidence-based modalities to help clients attain increased energy, purpose, restoration and incremental lifestyle change. My 5-session model of practice is simple and effective: starting with the first session, I begin by helping my clients create a ”vision of wellness” that serves as a compass for the creation of plans and goals. In the next four sessions together, I take my clients on a journey of self-discovery that includes developing long and short-term goals, identifying barriers that subsequently lead to creating sustainable and personalized action plans. I encourage my clients to use humor and curiosity and believe that those two strengths can aid in healing. I specialize in helping clients who are feeling overwhelmed helpless when dealing with managing chronic illness’ that include migraines, diabetes, hypo/hyperthyroid, gut dysbiosis, candida and leaky gut.As self-proclaimed "life-long learner," I continue my education through seminars and continuing education classes. I am currently enrolled in Yale University’s Wellbeing certification program and I will sit for the National Board Certification for Health and Wellness Coaches in October 2021.
