MJ is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach as well as a Certified Nutritional Health Coach, who supports clients in an individual or group setting in making nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve health, well-being, longevity, body composition, and finding root causes of disease states.Using principals of integrative and functional medicine, MJ’s areas of concentration are assisting clients in the management of auto-immune diseases (psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto thyroiditis, etc.), pre-diabetes, body composition and weight management through diet, lifestyle and the elimination of toxic burdens to the body.Customizable programs are used to respect the client’s bio-individuality.Recognizing the importance of optimized weight and body composition in overall health, MJ was trained as a TLS Weight Loss Coach, teaching principals using real and whole foods for lasting weight management.A 2013 graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York City, MJ learned over 100 dietary theories, had instructors such as Drs. Mark Hyman, Barry Sears, Mark Fuhrman and Deepak Chopra, to name a few.  There she learned concepts of bio-individuality as well as Primary Foods, that health is based on more than just nutrition and includes aspects of life such as healthy relationships, physical activity, spiritual practice and a fulfilling purpose in life.A July 2018 graduate of The Institute for Functional Medicine’s program, MJ studied with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy to better understand a client’s root causes of disease and lack of wellness.2020 saw certification in the Auto-Immune Paleo Protocol program.Using the power of food, food as medicine, being heard and understood in a world where our doctors can spend so little time with us, wellness coaching with MJ Gray will allow you to identify your goals, learn the tools to achieve those goals, and maximize this one precious life.MJ lives with her husband in Havre de Grace, Maryland, having recently moved from Monmouth County, New Jersey.  She has two grown daughters whose health issues as children spurred her on to look at medicine and health in a different, more holistic light.
