About
I was living overseas when I started having chronic pain issues. I suddenly was unable to bend over and pick up things off the floor and had to hold someone's hand to be able to walk down a step. A friend had been doing AIP and introduced me to it. When I floated the idea to my first doctor, he laughed at me and told me what I ate didn't matter. Thankfully, I ignored him. I saw some improvements in just days, and was 80% pain free after about six months. Through this and other health experiences, I learned that many medical providers are not well informed on nutrition. I started down this path for myself and realized there are many people who could benefit to someone coming alongside them and offering nutrition information in a non-judgmental manner. More recently, I have become interested in herbal medicine. I'm intrigued with plants and the healing powers they possess. I still deal with minimal aches and pains, and have found herbal remedies to be as powerful as taking over the counter medicine. I also have my 200 hour yoga certification. I need to be reminded regularly to slow down, deepen my breathing and just be still at times. Yoga helps me with this and I now practice every night before going to bed. Having a holistic view on health, I am always looking at both nutrition and lifestyle to help someone feel at their best. I speak French at near fluency and am conversational in Spanish.
