Is Riverd HIPAA compliant?+
Riverd is not a HIPAA-covered entity, and whether HIPAA applies to you depends on your own practice, mainly on whether you transmit health information electronically for insurance transactions. Riverd gives you private-by-default clinical notes, encryption in transit and at rest, and AI that never listens to your sessions. For your own situation, check with a compliance advisor.
Can other therapists on Riverd see my clients or my notes?+
No. Your clients, your bookings, and your notes are walled off to your account alone. No other therapist on Riverd can reach them, and there's no shared pool where your client list could ever surface to someone else.
Can my clients read the notes I write about them?+
Riverd never shows your notes to a client. Nothing in a booking confirmation, a client's appointment list, or their portal displays what you wrote about them. Your client records and patient books are provider-only, and a client account has no route to them.
How do I sign in if there's no password?+
You pick how you sign in: a one-time code texted to your phone, a link sent to your email, or your Google account. There's no password to remember, and nothing for someone to steal or phish out of you.
