Rachel Tenuta

I am a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Outpatient Educator who works with both adults and the pediatric population. I earned my bachelors of science from the University of Rhode Island, and completed by Dietetic Internship at New York University, Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein Hospital in New York City. My specialties include Diabetes, Digestive Disorders, Vegansim, and Weight Management, with a certificate of training in weight managment. My education and work experience, coupled with my passion for nutrition, has allowed me to successfully assist others in obtaining and sustaining healthy eating behaviors and balanced lifestyles.

My style and approach to counseling centers around creating a supportive and nurturing environment while providing nutritional education and the tools needed to be an intuitive eater, resulting in clients having the confidence and ability to make informed, sustainable, and meaningful lifestyle changes.

I believe that there is not a 'one size' fits all approach or perfect model to achieve a balanced healthy lifestyle. In order to treat and manage conditions successfully, they must be tackled non-synthetically with a whole foods approach in order to improve health and aid in disease management.
