About
A nutrition consultation is a great start to develop a healthy relationship with food. A personalized eating plan will be developed as a foundation to achieve your health goals. Together we will identify behaviors & beliefs that previously hindered your efforts. Your eating will be defined as "Purposeful", addressing awareness of eating pace and hunger/satiety cues. Component Cooking, a simplistic meal prep from grocery store to pantry offers practical application. Learn to eat by guidelines not rigid rules. Break the all-or-nothing eating cycle. Abandon "cheat days".
I earned a Master's Degree in Nutrition-Texas A&M University. Thirty years experience has provided opportunity to work with people from all walks of life. I have consulted at a Women's Federal Prison, Texas Commission for the Blind, eating disorder treatment programs, dialysis units, university health & physician clinics.
I have a passion to teach, counsel and encourage people to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Early in my career I was awarded Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award in recognition of community out-reach. I served 1981-85 aboard the USS McKee-AS-41, Submariner U.S.Navy-Honorably discharged, 1985
