I have been practicing Clinical Massage Therapy for over 30 years and have trained in a variety of modalities (a fancy word for techniques) ranging from deep tissue to extremely light touch. Different circumstances call for different approaches, and I try to tailor each treatment to the specific circumstances at hand. Some of those techniques have names like Neuromuscular Therapy, Advanced Orthopedic Massage, Trigger Point resolution, and CranioSacral Therapy. No matter how deep or how subtle the techniques I employ, I am always aware that I am interacting with the "energy economy" of my client. So I am very respectful of each individual's autonomy, even as we engage in a practice that, within proper constraints, nevertheless seems fairly intimate.Other tidbits: I am a Karate instructor, and I have been married for 36 years, with a rich and rewarding family life.
