About
I am graduate of Irene’s Myomassology Institute in Michigan. I spent the last couple of decades in sales and marketing for some well-known television networks, A&E, The History Channel, The Food Network and HGTV before making a major career change. Physical fitness has always been a big part of my life. I am an avid crossfitter and trained for and ran in the Detroit marathon. It was my research into maintaining fitness as your body ages that sparked my interest in massage therapy as a new career direction.Educating ClientsBecause of my personal involvement in CrossFit and marathons, CrossFit athletes and Ironman marathoners make up a big part of my client list. In addition to working with them on the table, I give them “homework” to do in between visits. Empowering and educating my clients in the care of their bodies is a vital piece of what I do. I tell my clients that my number one goal for them is to educate them on how their body moves and how it should move. Once they understand this, it becomes easier for them to recognize when their movement is not what it should be and we can meet to work on the issue.Name That MovieClients appreciate my empathy with the challenges of staying fit and flexible as our bodies age. They will also tell you that conversations with me will often include quotes from some of my best loved movies. I am a self-proclaimed movie buff with a wide range of appreciation across genres. My 12 year old boxer, Baron, is my faithful companion when running or relaxing during a movie night at home. Schedule a session with me and ask which is my favorite Star Wars movie.
