Jennifer Mayhugh

Hi! My name is Jennifer Mayhugh. Massage therapy has been a passion of mine since I was 19. My first professional massage was such an amazing experience that it inspired me to provide that same kind of therapeutic experience for others. Personally, I like to be helpful and what I like to call "therapy for the body", can do just that. I was requested repeatedly in my internship by many regular clients of Sterling Health Center. Most of those clients asked for deep pressure and preferred sports massage techniques. I enjoy providing bodywork for my clients to feel that things were worked out, yet their bodies left relaxed after the massage. I also provide a relaxing Swedish massage with light pressure, if requested. I try to sync my breath with the client's, becoming more in-tune with the client. I gave a pregnancy massage to a pregnant classmate of mine a couple of times. She said it was the most relaxing massage she had ever had. The students in my class loved my massages. The other students and even one of my favorite teachers have told me many times that I should consider teaching. I agree and fully intend on earning an instructor's license. Every massage therapist I've ever had has told me, "It was fun to work on you!" Some have also told me that they learned a lot while massaging me. I love that I can inspire others to do better. I know that I will never stop being intrigued about what the body can do and how it is all connected! I look forward to doing many Continuing Education classes/certifications in my career. I'm excited to learn more and become even better. My goal is to become everyone’s favorite massage therapist! I also have 3 college degrees and one of them is in health!
