Hi, I’m Christie Abbott, a licensed massage therapist with more than 15 years of experience. I come from a long line of healers, and am proud to be Indigenous. I use my Native roots to guide and support my work with my clients. I consider myself to be an “intuitive healer”, meaning I can sense where and how to treat people. These naturally-based methods are a way for me to connect to the person I am working with, and find the right healing approach needed to address their specific situation.My practice is centered around individual needs. Every person comes in with a different background, with unique ailments, and specific goals for their own health. With such differing factors, each case requires a unique and specially designed treatment. A one-size-fits-all approach is ineffective and dangerous; everyone needs to have a treatment catered to their needs and wants.I am trained in many modalities, including myofascial, structural integration, and Thai massage. My background includes many professional athletes, primarily NFL players. For many years I was working in Nashville, before I decided to move to my hometown to bring better health and wellness options to my friends and neighbors.I strongly believe in helping others live their best lives through proper healing. Nothing makes me happier than hearing someone say I was able to find and solve their problem areas that had been bothering them for far too long. Outside of work I am a mother of four and have one beautiful grandson. I spend a lot of my time learning and sharing information on health, wellness, and natural medicine. These are all a big part of my everyday life and I take pride in following a more holistic lifestyle. With the proper treatment, you can enjoy a pain-free life with less stress and more mobility. Just as important as the physical side, I also aim to improve and refresh the mind and spirit, as well.
