Board Certified Massage and Bodywork Therapist since 2005; Specialized Certificate in Oncology Massage from NCBTMB in 2020; licensed in South and North Carolina. My primary passion is in oncology massage, providing comfort, relieving pain and anxiety, and assisting healing in people with a history of cancer--from diagnosis, through treatment, survivorship, and end of life. My massages have helped people with carpal tunnel, tendinitis, frozen shoulder, sciatica, headaches, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, low back pain, and anxiety and pain in people with cancer. Clients include musicians, cyclists, runners, health care professionals, clerical and administrative workers, restaurant workers, teachers, construction, visual artists, retirees.I introduced a program in October 2012 training licensed massage therapists to do safe, gentle hand and foot massage for people while receiving chemotherapy at the infusion centers at St. Francis Hospital and Cancer Center.My goals include continuing to assist people in their own healing, and continue my own education.
