Mae pursued a career in bodywork as a natural development of their own healing journey. Because of their experiences with chronic stress, fatigue, and pain, Mae is passionate about creating a safe space to facilitate self-healing for every body through integrative and intuitive massage, with an awareness of the individual and systemic challenges clients may face. Their background in clinical research contributes to their joy in merging science with intuition. They are particularly interested in a trauma-informed approach to the nervous system and neuromuscular and myofascial modalities. They are attuned and trained in First Degree Reiki (Shoden) and engaged in ongoing bodywork training.Their practice, wildviolet bodywork LLC, is located in the East End of Pittsburgh in the newly renovated Maxon Towers in Squirrel Hill.
