Aumkara Newhouse

My body cells obey my will! They dance with divine vitality! I am well! I am strong! I am a flowing river of boundless power and Energy!

My love of people, science, health, yoga, meditation and being a very physical person attracted me to expanding the science of bodywork. Western medicine has a very mechanistic approach. Some of this is helpful. What has been lost is that we constantly renew ourselves.

Your skin is only 6 weeks old, your liver 8 weeks, the lining in your stomach 3 days, you have new cells in the macula of your eye every 48 hours. So from this standpoint the question we must ask is not: “Why am I are sick?” or “Why do I have pain?” or “Why is this not healing?” Rather it is; “Why am I not making functional, healthy cells?”

Blockages in the muscles/meridians, scars, clogged organs and emotional baggage are pretty much the some total of health issues.

I studied at East West school of healing Arts, at the Tennant Institute in Dallas Texas and with Dr Todd Turnbull DC in SE Portland.

Meridian Charging Therapy - a new expression of acupressure is my focus modality. This coupled with eccentric break testing of the muscles gives a way to test for changes in body strength real time. Most people come to me for muscular pain or not wanting surgery. I will also use packs of herbs and oils to stimulate healing. We are 65% muscle, if your muscles feel good you often have the strength to embrace the rest of life’s issues as the dance they are. Our muscles act as battery packs for the body.

I also do Myotonic Facilitation, Foot Reflexology which is based on meridians or zones (it was originally called zone therapy), and CranioSacral Therapy

My office, Aumkara Structural Bodywork, is in Beaverton Oregon, part of the greater Portland metro area, still small and village like with a lot local characters.

Giving talks on Meridian Charging Therapy, teaching and practicing yoga and meditation, running, cycling, hiking, playing guitar and singing take up the rest of my time.
