Myriam C Ravenwise

My journey as a body and energy worker began back in 2014 when I was certified in Reiki energy work. As I worked with clients at my private practice in NW Portland and in home visits I started to see that I developed a desire to know more about the human body and have the option to manipulate or stretch limbs, do light massage or gently palpate. Ultimately, this lead to my becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist in October of 2017 and started my own business in May of 2018. Since that time I have enjoyed working with many clients, providing a safe space, and helping facilitate powerful change, relaxation and rejuvenation. I truly feel it is important to listen to my clients and meet each person where they are at--consent, education, empowerment and communication are the keystones of my practice. Through my time learning massage therapy at East West College of Healing Arts I learned modalities of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Prenatal massage, and also studied and am influenced by Thai massage and Tui Na (Chinese massage). I have developed a balance of Eastern and Western modalities through my education past and present, and feel it is no coincidence that there is overlap! Through my experience working in a spa setting I also enjoy incorporating essential oils, hot towels and hot stones into my massage work (although not currently offered, they will be incorporated soon).When I'm not in the clinic I enjoy hiking, camping, creating art, reading way too much non-fiction, time with friends or singing with my ukulele. I am an LGBTQIAPK ally and welcome all body types!
