About
Thomas owns and operates a private clinic in Gahanna Ohio that specializes in myofascial treatments and alternative medicine CAM services. Alongside his clinic he provides 8-16 hours per week to a local Hospice provider PRN, as well as accepts referrals for military veterans from the local VA Hospital. After two years in the military Thomas was sure he would dedicate his life to a career in the Telecommunications/Wireless field. With his leadership experience and team management skills, he rapidly climbed the ladder from your every day TV & internet installation technician to one of the most dangerous jobs you could find yourself doing, climbing cellphone towers. Eight years later after managing 5 states and multiple regions as an RF-Engineer, crew lead, and project manager, the amount of stress that taxed Thomas' body, mind, and spirits had been enough. A book written by Dr. Gabor Matte, "When the Body says NO" enlightened his view on stress as an ailment that was capable of tainting all aspects of one person's life, so as someone who naturally enjoyed working with their hands, Thomas found a way to help people combat this aliment doing exactly that, with manual therapy. Thomas' first massage ever was massaging his grandmother's shoulders when he was 3 years old. "I could visually see the relief in her face, as her face relaxed, and her shoulders sank down away from her head." he says, describing that day he had spent with his grandmother together in her kitchen. When it came down to it, after a layoff Thomas experienced in 2019, in his own words he says, "The universe rolled out the red carpet, and all lights were green for GO." Learning anatomy, physiology, theory, and pathology came naturally to him, it was like learning a second language that you forgot to speak all over again. Thomas studied under 25 year massage therapist & President of the OH-AMTA, Jennifer Cull, at the Dayton School of Medical Massage for eleven months. There he would learn multiple forms and approaches towards clinical alternative medicine, specifically through therapeutic touch. Throughout school, Thomas worked in the schools clinic, gaining hands on experience prior to entering the professional front lines of the work force. After school, Thomas was found in an unoccupied class-room volunteering to offer his free time to his fellow classmates providing study groups and elaborations on the curriculum. It was no secret to his colleagues and instructors that he had a passion only for being hands on, yet also in ensuring other therapists in practice understood how they could be better at their craft as well with his love for teaching and sharing his knowledge. Not only will his clients attest to his dedication to his art, Thomas comes highly recommended by letter from the school’s administration, his instructors, and from doctors still in practice to this day that have had the opportunity to work with him. Since his receipt of licensure from the Ohio State Medical Board, Thomas has provided therapeutic services to a Chiropractors office, professional & college athletes, gymnasiums, and fortunate private clients across the Greater Cincinnati & Columbus area's of Ohio. As of Summer 2020, you can find Thomas in the Columbus area doing what he loves, find him on social media or look him up in your local AMTA.COM therapist search engine to book a private session with him today.
