In September 2002, I enrolled in the Massage Therapy Program at Queensborough Community College where I received extensive training. In June 2006, I received an A.A.S. degree in Massage Therapy and my New York State license in August 2006. In October 2022, I received certification as a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Technician (CMLDT).​As I was growing up, the words, "Darling can you do your mother a favor and rub my hip it hurts so much" were daily household words. My mother suffered from a deteriorating hip joint disease.  ​Even though I was too young to understand that massage was therapeutic, I wasn't too young to understand that my mother felt better and always fell asleep.
