About
I graduated from the New York Institute of Massage in January 2010 and have been working as a massage therapist ever since. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in both medical and spa settings, which has given me experience with a wide variety of clients, needs, and massage techniques.
My specialty in headache and migraine massage comes from personal experience. I’ve dealt with migraines on and off for years, and massage therapy has always been one of the few things that actually helped me feel better. Because of that, I wanted to learn as much as I could about how massage could help others dealing with similar issues. I earned my certificate in headache and migraine massage in 2016 and have continued to build on those skills ever since.
I’m also certified in trigger point therapy, which gives me another tool to use when more focused work is needed, especially when muscular tension is contributing to headaches and migraines.
More recently, I’ve gotten really into running. I ran my first half marathon in May and am currently training for my next one. I’ll be the first to admit that running has given me a whole new appreciation for what we ask our bodies to do! It’s also given me firsthand experience with the importance of recovery, mobility, and paying attention to those tight, tired, or cranky muscles.
That’s one of the reasons I’m excited to offer Sports & Running Massage alongside my headache and migraine work. I understand that every body is different, and I believe massage should be tailored to what you need—not just follow a one-size-fits-all routine.
I’ve always been a firm believer that massage is more than a luxury. When it’s used intentionally, it can be an important part of taking care of yourself, managing discomfort, staying active, and helping your body keep doing the things you enjoy.
I’m always up for a challenge and always looking for ways to learn, improve, and better serve my clients. My goal is to provide focused, effective therapeutic massage in a comfortable, welcoming environment where you can feel at ease.
When I’m not working or running, you’ll probably find me reading, working on my home library, or cheering on the Bills. Go Bills!
