Seth Acuña, MMP, LMT, NCBTMB, graduated from Superior Iberoamericano Institute, San José, Costa Rica (2002) and Johnson County Community College (JCCC) in Overland Park, KS (2006), as a massage therapist. He speaks English and Spanish and has practiced massage therapy for several years in Costa Rica. Currently he is a Medical Massage Practitioner (MMP), nationally certified (NCBTMB), a licensed massage therapist (LMT), associated to American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) in Kansas and Missouri. After being a graphic designer for fourteen years at a newspaper in Costa Rica, Seth discovered massage in 1998 and it changed his life. He now operates a thriving massage practice in Overland Park, Kansas employing therapeutic Swedish, sports, deep tissue massage, lymphatic drainage massage, acupressure/trigger point, rotator cuff treatment, and cupping techniques to meet clients’ needs. Massage can be an important component in treatment contributing to relief from pain and anxiety, reducing stress while increasing circulation and flexibility which can help people preapre for or recover from surgery, specific injuries and health conditions. Through massage clients receive an easy, affordable manner to feel good, lead a happier more productive life, and an overall sense of wellness.
