Meet Mindy & Alfie

Hi, I’m Mindy Mies, a Lawrence native and licensed massage therapist. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from the University of Kansas and my Associate of Occupational Science, Integrative Massage degree from Wellspring School in Lawrence, Kansas.

With 10 years of massage experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work in popular, award-winning massage practices as well as medical environments. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide variety of clients and develop an approach that is both therapeutic and personalized.

My specialties include Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Sports, Medical, Swedish, and Hot Stone Massage. Whether you're looking to relieve muscle tension, support your body's recovery, relax and recharge, or address specific areas of concern, I take the time to understand what your body needs and customize each session accordingly.

As a massage therapist with a visual impairment, I have developed an exceptional sensitivity to touch. I use this heightened awareness to identify areas of tension and focus my work where it is needed most. My goal is to provide thoughtful, precise, and effective care while creating a comfortable environment where you can truly relax.

And then there's Alfie, my loyal sidekick and professionally trained Seeing Eye dog. Alfie was trained by The Seeing Eye, Inc. in Morristown, New Jersey, and he takes his job very seriously—most of the time! Outside of work, he's known for being quite the character and is sure to bring a little personality to the room.
