Paula Phelps-Smart

From 1997, I have been in practice studying different types of therapies and meditation from wonderful teachers in many countries.  I am Certified in Lymphatic Drainage and other concentrations that I have studied: Visceral Manipulation, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, and Myofascial Release. Originally, I received my Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tampa, and I worked in development for several non-profit organizations.  In 1993 I was in a car crash which resulted in an L1- T12 fracture.  Following the accident, I was bedridden for several years.  My conus medullaris and cauda equine of my spinal cord was damaged.  In the process, I had to learn to walk again. Experiencing organ problems and horrific pain levels led me to travel the world in search of healing and seek treatment through many surgeries. The combination of western medicine, alternative medicine, and mediation has brought me where I am today. As a result, I study therapies for my own healing process. My struggles have been a great asset to me; understanding pain and healing has many levels and can be beautiful, transforming and hard journey to undertake.   I am fortunate to have the opportunity to share the knowledge and wisdom that I have gained personally with my many clients today.
