Jay A. Terry

Jay received advanced training under Kyle C. Wright - co-founder of the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy *Keiser University, and a nationally recognized specialist in the treatment of postural dysfunction and soft-tissue injuries. Early in his career Jay became aware of the negative physical effects associated with prolonged exposure to high impact exercise, repetitious movements, compensatory and sedentary posturing. Jay is the owner of Somawürks by Jay, LLC and is a certified neuromuscular therapist at Baptist Rehabilitation OPC in Jacksonville, Florida. Working alongside numerous allied healthcare professionals, his services are available to patients and employees within the Baptist | MD Anderson network. Jay has been a massage instructor for Baptist Medical Center, Lutheran Social Services, and St. Vincent's Hospital *Ascension wellness programs. He continues his studies under some of the most influential leaders in the field of soft-tissue injuries and orthopedic massage techniques which include Paul St. John (NMT), James Waslaski (NMT, Sports Rehabilitation), Aaron Mattes (Active Isolated Stretching®), Eric Dalton (Advanced Myoskeletal Techniques®), and Rose Griscom (Institute of Thai Massage). His passion and professional goal is to help educate the general public about the many benefits associated with massage and bodywork therapy. Memberships: American Massage Therapy Association Florida State Massage Therapy Association National Alliance of Fitness Professionals
