I am the licensed massage therapist (L.M.T.) behind Equilibrium Bodyworks. Formally trained as a massage therapist at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Westport, CT, where I was exposed to many modalities of massage, I bring an interesting mix of Western and Eastern bodywork styles that all share a similar goal: improving clients' general well-being by focusing on each person's specific needs.I am a traveling therapist serving the western CT area. I meet clients at their location, be it a residence, an office building, or a clinical setting. Depending on the needs, Ie will bring along her massage table/chair/Thai mat, as well as all the necessary equipment (sheets, blanket, lotion, music). My style of massage is based in traditional Swedish massage, to which I add elements to match each client's particular needs: deep tissue, relaxation, orthopedic, prenatal, stretches, trigger point therapy, acupressure, pre- and post- athletic event.I also practice Thai massage, an ancient style of bodywork that combines acupressure and yoga-like stretching.
