Katherine Ford

Katherine was an avid lover of massage therapy long before she became a massage therapist herself, having volunteered as a clinic patient at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT). Like any other hard-working individual. she sought ways to relax from the demands of everyday life, seeking modalities within alternative medicine, homeopathic therapies, and good old fashioned meditation. After a successful dual-career as a nanny and owner of a successful event planning business, Katherine returned to school to develop her 'science nerd' skills.      Katherine enrolled in the intensive CCMT program, (currently the Cortiva Institute), receiving high praise in her Anatomy & Physiology, Practical Massage Application, Pathology & Acupressure courses. During mandatory clinic instruction, Katherine worked with clients seeking massage for Pregnancy, Myofascial Pain Syndrome, Rotator Cuff Syndrome, Sciatica, Tennis Elbow, Frozen Shoulder, Sports injuries, Headaches & Migraines, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia and much more. She completed her education at CCMT and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. After passing the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) exam, she was licensed to perform massage therapy in the state of Connecticut.     Since graduation, Katherine has worked as a massage therapist and body stretch specialist for a local chiropractic & physical therapy office while developing an in-home client base. Due to personal life experience, Katherine chose to focus her attention to massage modalities targeted towards fertility, pregnancy and postnatal massage. She continues to further her skills taking continuing education courses focused on fertility, pregnancy, relaxation and full body wellness.  Katherine enjoys the outdoors with taking walks or hikes, spending time at her family's Fire Island beach house, reading any sappy romcom she can get her hands on, trying new Whole30 recipes and enjoying time as a new mama. Katherine lives in Ridgefield with her husband, baby and two cuddly kittens.
