Joan N. Sloss

Dr Joan specializes in Craniosacral Therapy and Orthopedic Massage. She is certified in craniosacral at Level III by Upledger Institute and has taken a total of 5 classes in CST. In her CST work Joan focuses on healing face/jaw/head and neck pain. She also works with traumatic head injuries. She co-manages Healing Unleashed of Lakewood, Colorado which offers neurofeedback training for brain injuries. Joan completed 12 Levels of exam-based training in medical massage in 2004. Certifications were given by The Medical Massage Office and Associates. In her orthopedic bodywork Joan works mostly with shoulder girdle/arm pain and pelvic girdle/hip pain.  All of Dr Joan's clients receive specific evaluation of soft tissue and joint conditions. Joan offers specific, not general manual therapy. Joan reviews and utilizes the information from physician ordered orthopedic tests when considering your best treatment options. She communicates with other practitioners who may be attending your case. Casenotes are written up in AthenaNet and these casenotes are available to other medical personnel on-line. Treatment at our office is HIPAA compliant. You receive safe, effective, manual therapy treatments that are symptom specific. Dr. Joan assesses and improves your body's ability to move and function with balance and ease.  If you experience chronic soft tissue or joint pain she can help.  We have helped many people who have been diagnosed with problems like plantar fasciitis, sciatic pain, and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr Joan is supervised by medical doctor W. J. Bedinghaus. If you have PPO insurance it will likely pay for your treatments. We will check insurance eligibility for you.
