Gretchen Vogt

I first began practicing massage therapy in 2010 in Columbus, Ohio after graduating from the American Institute of Alternative Health. My initial primary specialty was Swedish relaxation massage, though my interest in deep tissue and sports massage inspired me to pursue more training in these areas. I moved to Melbourne, Australia where I worked with a wellness clinic for two years and continued to refine my massage therapy style as well as expand my knowledge of different modalities, particularly neuromuscular therapy and clinical massage. Returning to Columbus, Ohio and working at a spa-based practice allowed me to learn how to merge the more site-specific work I had been focusing on with my original interest in relaxation massage. My move to San Diego eight years ago has been incredibly inspiring in that in addition to continuing to grow my style and knowledge of massage therapy, I also trained in oncology and more medical-based massage. I am continually honored by the opportunities my clients give me to help them achieve their highest level of health and wellness, which challenge me to keep expanding my knowledge of techniques and modalities in order to do so.
