I'm a certified lymphatic therapist. I earned my certification with Klose Institute.The CLT certificate teaches the full MLD protocol with additional course work on how to measure and bandage a limb that has lymphedema or lipedema, as well as how to counsel patients on garment selection and care, weight loss and exercise strategies, infection prevention and control, wound care, and more. I provide lymphatic manual drainage (MLD)that is customized to each individual needs for addressing their maintenance and healing. A variety of modalities are used including but not limited to lymphatic manual therapy. Many studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of CDT for improving lymphedema symptoms such as swelling and pain. Historically, it is an intensive program that combines four different treatment approaches, including manual lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging, exercise, and skin care.
