Before becoming a massage therapist, I spent over a decade working in a molecular biology laboratory setting.  My scientific background has been a great help in keeping up with the latest research in therapeutic massage.  From my experience in medical environments, I learned the value of massage as a complement to conventional medicine.Since 2019, I’ve lived in Birmingham with my husband and two dogs.  We love traveling across the country to run, and I’ve completed half marathons in Florida, Nevada, West Virginia, Alabama, Maine, Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, and Georgia, with the hope to race in every state.  In my free time, I enjoy hiking and needlepoint–although not at the same time.
