About

I am a August 2021 graduate of the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy.  I am excited to begin this next phase of my life as a health coach - I am certain that my 64 years of life experiences is culminating in this endeavor.  I am especially interested in helping retired folks experience the best health possible so that they can continue to do all the things they dreamed of doing but couldn't while working, and raising a family.  Specifically I would like to work those newly diagnosed with dementia and/or osteoporosis.   I grew up just outside Philadelphia, PA.  In 1978 I received a BS Degree from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in physical education.  I immediately went on to earn a Masters Degree in Adapted Physical Education at the University of Virginia.  I taught P.E., Adapted P.E., and Special Education for 6 years in PA and in NC as well as coached field hockey and lacrosse.  I married a military pilot and moved to Little Rock where I worked with Arkansas Easter Seals as an educational specialist.  During the next phase of my life I raised three fine sons, and lived in Valdosta, Georgia and now in Monument, Colorado since 1998.  I am currently coaching Women's Lacrosse at our local High School and have done so on and off since 2005.  I work part time at Tri-Lakes United Methodist Church as the Director of Christian Education.
