Katie Cartwright

Katie Cartwright, President of Body and Soul: Optimal Aging,brings a lifetime of knowledge and wisdom to health coaching. Diagnosed with Crohn's Disease at the age of 20, she persevered in  learning how to successfully manage her many health challenges using a functional approach. After moving to California and discovering a wealth of options for health rejuvenation, she has moved from struggle to a sense of opportunity and success in healing herself.Using her background as a Hypnotherapist and Massage Therapist for many years, she continued to pursue personal growth programs for decades and is applying her knowledge in working with clients to health coaching.Katie hears what clients say about their health and life struggles and helps them transform their stories into a source of strength. Their new awareness helps them to start to feel successful and competent.Standing back from the story, she helps clients find the humor, ironies and joy in the retelling of their lives. “It is all about your attitude” and Katie’s attitude is infectious. A natural cheerleader, she partners with clients on the smallest details needed to make change easy and affordable.Katie works in person and on zoom with clients and loves to teach programs on healthy lifestyle change. She will soon begin a group on healing yourself from autoimmune disease using an elimination diet and detox, among other lifestyle interventions.She has specialties in the areas of digestion, the Bredesen approach to preventing dementia,  and breath and energy work. With many tools in her toolbox, she has much to help clients make changes that stick!
